Four out of Twenty

My lesson plan today revolved around revising the drafts that the students were to bring to class today. I figured that since we had done an hour of prewriting exercises last Thursday that at least 90% of the students would have completed the assignment.

Four out of my twenty students brought in a rough draft.

They had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to get these in, and only four--FOUR-- brought them in. And at least one of those wrote it in the previous class period! I'm not sure how to react to this, but trust me, they will learn how to follow directions in this class. MWAA-HAA-HAA!
